“The Dalles High School Murals”

These two murals are beautifully donel and depict Amaton field as the artist thought it was in the early days of The Dalles. The Indian Chief on  the north  side of the building is watching  over The Dalles, the Columbia River, and the Klickitats.

They are both magnificent murals! The students raised the money for both the murals but they were painted under the guidance of  The Dalles Mural Society.

Location: The Dalles High School, on the left hand side of the building as you face the building. Go up Union Street, turn left onto 10th Street at the stop sign, turn right at corner of school. The murals are located about half way up the street; before the gymnasium.
