“Stern Wheeler Ticket Sales” 

The “Regulator” was one of several Sternwheelers and Steamers that called on The Dalles in the late 1800s and early 1900s.  The “Regulator” was built in 1891 and refitted with a larger and heavier hull in 1899.

The “Regulator” was opend by The Dalles, Portland & Astroia Navigation company organized in 1891.  She was 152 feet long, 6 feet 5 inches beam, and a six foot hold.

The steamer caught fire and exploaded while under repair at St. Johns, Oregon. She was one of the first to travle through the Cascade Locks in 1896.
